Promoting Safe and Competent ATV Operation

Tuppco was pleased to continue supporting Ian Coley Sporting and the wider BR Group by delivering a one-day Lantra ATV Sit-In training course at their ground near Andoversford in Gloucestershire.

On a warm and sunny day in the Gloucestershire countryside, Tuppco’s lead instructor delivered the Lantra course to two candidates. Both participants approached the training with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to improving their knowledge, skills and understanding of safe ATV operation.

The course provided a valuable combination of classroom-based knowledge and practical instruction, giving the candidates the opportunity to discuss ATV safety and develop their confidence in operating the machine responsibly across a range of conditions.

Positive Attitudes Towards Operator Safety

One of the highlights of the day was the level of interaction from both candidates. They actively engaged with the instructor, asked questions and contributed to discussions throughout the course.

Their positive attitude towards operator safety, hazard awareness and responsible machine operation was particularly encouraging. Effective training is not simply about learning how to operate a machine; it is about understanding the risks involved and developing safe working practices that can be applied every day.

The candidates demonstrated a good willingness to consider the hazards associated with ATV use and how appropriate procedures, checks and controls can help reduce risk in the workplace.
