Tuppco Delivers NPORS 180 Excavator Training for Tugwell Contracting in Gloucestershire
Tuppco recently carried out specialist NPORS 180 excavator training for Tugwell Contracting in Gloucestershire, showcasing both expert instruction and cutting-edge machinery. The session was particularly notable thanks to the arrival of a brand-new JCB 3CX backhoe loader—freshly delivered and part of the exclusive 1 Million limited edition range.
A Standout Machine: The New JCB 3CX
The latest JCB 3CX supplied to Tugwell Contracting was fully loaded with high-spec features, reflecting the brand’s continued innovation in construction equipment. Among its highlights was the new dual drive system, designed to improve operator efficiency and control across varying site conditions. This feature allows for smoother transitions and enhanced productivity—ideal for both training environments and real-world applications.
The machine’s limited-edition status added an extra layer of excitement to the training day, marking it as a significant addition to the Tugwell fleet.
NPORS 180 Training Delivered by Tuppco
Tuppco’s NPORS-accredited 180 excavator training ensures operators gain both theoretical knowledge and practical competence. The Gloucestershire session focused on safe operation, machine handling, and maximising efficiency—key components for modern construction sites.
Instructor Bertie Tupper led the training and was particularly enthusiastic about the opportunity to operate the new JCB 3CX. As a former owner-operator of a JCB 4CX, Bertie brought hands-on experience and insight into the evolution of JCB machinery.
“It’s always great to see how these machines have developed,” Bertie noted. “The dual drive and overall refinement make a real difference to the operator experience.”
Tugwell Contracting’s Commitment to JCB
Adrian, Managing Director of Tugwell Contracting, reaffirmed the company’s long-standing relationship with JCB equipment:
“We’ve always had a JCB 3CX in the fleet—and we always will. Their versatility is unmatched, whether it’s for groundwork, lifting, or general site duties.”
