  • What is QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF)?

    The QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) is a regulated qualification designed for anyone with a specific responsibility for fire safety in the workplace.

    Learners will develop a greater understanding of how fires start, the risks associated with fire and the measures that can be implemented to control those risks. The course also covers fire safety management, workplace fire safety inspections, fire risk assessment, relevant legal requirements and the role and responsibilities of a fire warden.

  • Venue and Equipment Requirements:

  • Theory assessment:

    Learners must successfully complete the required theory assessment to achieve the qualification.

    The assessment consists of a multiple-choice question paper:

    • 30 questions

    • Maximum time allowed: 45 minutes

    • Minimum pass mark: 20 out of 30

    • Assessment completed under examination conditions

    • Learners must achieve the required pass criteria to receive the qualification

    An externally set and externally marked invigilated e-Assessment may also be available where the appropriate arrangements are in place.

Objective Of The Course

The objective of the QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) with Tuppco Training is to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding of fire safety in the workplace and support those with specific fire safety responsibilities.

Upon successful completion of the QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) with Tuppco Training, learners will receive a Qualsafe Awards (QA) Level 2 certificate confirming successful achievement of the regulated qualification.

    Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. There are no other formal entry requirements, although Qualsafe recommends a minimum Level 1 literacy level to benefit from the learning.

How Long The Course Can Take

The QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) has a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 7 hours.

This consists of:

  • Minimum 6 hours Guided Learning

  • Approximately 1 hour for preparation, study and assessment

  • Total Qualification Time: 7 hours

The course can be delivered as a full-day training course, subject to the agreed timetable and delivery arrangements.

Qualsafe recommends refreshing fire safety training every 3 years.
